James Badjie is a training management and media development professional with a strong background in governance, institutional strategic planning, and capacity building. A First-Class graduate in Political Science with a Master’s degree in Digital Humanities, his work focuses on strengthening ethical journalism, media regulation, and democratic accountability through civil society capacity building in The Gambia.

He has led and supported initiatives on journalist safety, proactive advocacy for CSOs, and the development of professional codes of ethics for journalists, working closely with local stakeholders and international partners.

His interests lie in the intersection of technology and society, media governance, public policy, civil society strengthening, and youth skills development, with a commitment to building resilient institutions that support informed public discourse and sustainable democratic growth.
