MAJaC:MAJaC is a media
academy for journalism and communication. It
aims to provide a broad based high quality training for journalists and
communicators. It offers a curriculum modeled to the UNESCO standards and
accredited and certified by the National
Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority (NAQAA).
The academy values tolerance, independence and
social responsibility in a holistic atmosphere under a conducive environment to
ensure excellence.
It offers certificate, diploma and advanced diploma
in journalism which covers communications and multimedia. It also offers short
and specialized courses to meet the demands of the market.

We combine
theory and hands through classroom sessions, distance learning and actual

Who can apply?
Our foundation
and certificate programmes are designed for practicing and want-to-become
journalists as well as communication, public relations officers willing to
widen their horizon in journalism and communication. Fresh school leavers with
their WASSE results are encouraged to apply.
Course duration for Certificate: Six months
Tuition fee: D8, 600 only and examination fees of D1, 375 totaling D9, 975. All admitted candidates should put up an initial deposit of 60% of the tuition fees before the start of the course.
Course duration for Foundation: four months
Tuition fee: D6, 350 only and examination fees of D1, 375 totaling D7, 725. All admitted candidates should put up an initial deposit of 60% of the tuition fees before the start of the course.

Eligibility For Certificate
Applicants should have at least 4 O/Level credits.
A credit in
English language is a MUST
A journalist
with at least two years’ experience
Eligibility For Foundation
Applicants should have at least 3 O/Level credits.
A pass in
English language is a MUST
Deadline for Submission of application is: 18th December 2021. 12:00pm.
Note: All applications must be addressed to the Director of Training and enclosed in an envelope.
They must be delivered at the school on or before the deadline.
