The managing director of the Media Academy for Journalism and Communication Sang Mendy, is in Paris, France to attend responsible migration reporting conference organized by CFI Media Development. He joins fellow journalism directors from Africa, Europe, Asia and South America.
CFI is a public sector operator and a subsidiary of the France Médias Monde group tied to the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The organisation looks at issues raised by the media coverage of migrations.
MAJAC is invited to take part in this international project which includes journalism students from Mauritania, Guinea and Niger to raise awareness on the importance of covering migrations with fairness and perspective.
In more concrete terms, MAJaC will collaborate with Ecole supérieure de journalisme de Lille), to set editorial guidelines and produce journalistic content for TV, radio, newspaper magazine, and digital media platforms.
